What have been termed the ‘precious built capacities’ of the environments surrounding us are imaginatively redeployed by postgraduate interior design students at The Glasgow School of Art.

The bold endeavours found here – to redefine the nature and practice of interior making – point towards times shaped by hyper-prototyping, ficto-detailing and, in some instances, radical dematerialisation of construction. Welcome provocations, gifted by their creators, in advance of entry into a future annealed, rather than tempered, by very recent events.

In the self-discovery area, there would be a giant waterfall coming down from the top of roof. The loud sound produced by the giant waterfall could act as the sound mask for people so that people could let out their own shouting, crying and sighing without caring about others. This part is to let people focus on the musicality of their own voice, find themselves and discover themselves.
In the self-exploration room, people can play instruments on their own. They could try different music instruments, and have a connection with the instruments.

In the music pool, people could step on the circular music steps to explore the space, it is also the area that connect self-exploration area and self-expression area. There are three water flows which produce different sounds. People could follow the sound to explore the space.

When people come into the entrance, firstly they will come into a long corridor and then come to the self-reflected area. Then they will follow the sound point 1 of water droplets to explore the whole underground floor. Then, they will they will gradually follow the sound point 2 to go upstairs to the entrance of the ground floor. They could follow the sound point 3 and sound point 4 to come into the waiting area. In the rest area, they could hear sound point 5 and sound point 6, when they follow these two sound point, they could explore the ground floor.In the ground floor, there are mainly three areas. Near the sound point 5 is self-exploration room. Near the sound point 6 is self-expression room. The music pool with different circular steps connect the sound point 5 and sound point 6. After that, people could follow sound point 7 to go up to the first floor and sound point 8. In the sound point 8, it is a self-discovery area. After that, people could follow the sound point 9 and sound point 10 to come to the platform on the first floor. In the end, they will hear the sound point 3 and sound point 4, this is the end of the healing journey and when people hear these two sound points, this will help them look back on their whole journey in the space
