Emma Lewis-Jones
is a performance maker who’s current practice explores the creation and re-enactment of queer urban grief rituals. Her installation This Is An Emergency Service is made up of wall hangings and two films; the larger of which is her main project of the masters year and documents the dances in multiple sites across Glasgow city after nightfall. She also exhibited her portable score for grief ritual dances in the form of a flag outside the show in the GSA car park. All materials are found or donated up-cycled hi-vis workwear, transformed into grief scores.

A new collaboration between peers Odile Postic, Esyllt Lewis and Emma Lewis-Jones, Room with two sinks is an installation that features 2D and 3D work based around the shared themes in the artists’ solo practices; grief, authority and sexuality.
Mediums in the installation include silicone, plaster, ceramics, lithography and tattoo ink.
