My exhibition celebrates the community of Knoydart and its history and considers the wider issue of land ownership within Scotland. I wanted to create a social space within my exhibition for people to come together and reflect on the fact that the people of Knoydart can show us a different way to live where the local community decide on the priorities for the people once they own the land. Purchasing the only pub in the area they now have a place where life is celebrated and music is heard once again. Future plans for the community include a cultural hub and providing land for locals to build their own property. In a digital age the desire for spaces for people to come together has never been stronger and I hope my exhibition provides just that.
