Majoring in journalism before, studying interior design is a new experience for me. When I first came to GSA, I tried to solve social problems by designing spaces. But then I found that with my limited interior design knowledge, it wasn’t easy to achieve this goal. Therefore, realizing my shortcomings, I started with essential interior elements and set the theme for my Stage3 project – research light and materials in interior spaces. I supplemented my basic interior design knowledge through study and research during this stage. In the future, I will continue exploring this path. I hope one day to realize my initial intention of learning interior design – to solve social problems with interior design.

See Through Light
Visual perceptions have significant impacts on spatial experiences.
How would visual perceptions impact spatial experiences?
What are the factors that influence visual perceptions?
How could we use these factors in designing processes?
How could we use visual perception to create various space experiences?
This research discusses these questions and explores the possibilities of using elements that impact visual perceptions to form different spatial experiences. Explore how objects in space affect human visual perception and how to use the organic combinations of these elements to create spaces that can give various visual perceptions to visitors.
